Qualifying period for local residency to remain at 12 years
The scheduled reduction in qualifying period for A-H residential qualifications has been postponed. Under the Migration Policy The States of Jersey have committed to reducing the qualifying period to ten years. There was a scheduled one-year drop from the present 12 to 11 years. However, this has had to be postponed as the local property market cannot cope with an extra 300 to 400 buyers.
